Letter from the Executive Director

Hello and thank you for visiting our website!  These are certainly challenging times for all of us in not only the Sandwich Community, but in our state and nation as well.  It is my firm belief that we must not let these difficult times deter us from getting the word out about our wonderful community.

Sandwich is a great place to live, work and play!! We often take for granted what we already have here in  the Historic Opera House,  Valley West Community Hospital, a quality school system in District 430, as well as our Park District, library and so much more.  The Sandwich Fair and the fair grounds attract not only fair goers labor day week in Sandwich, but several other events held on the grounds bring many visitors to our area.  The many antique stores we have also attract visitors from a large geographical area to our city limits.

The Timber Creek Inn & Suites, Best Western has been a great addition to our community.  There have been several events in the convention center that have brought many new visitors to our area.  The Waves of Fun Water Park that is scheduled to open later this year will certainly bring many more visitors to the Route 34 corridor.  We are here to assist all of our existing businesses as these “travelers” discover Sandwich.

Our website talks about our goals and objectives, but the Sandwich Economic Development Corporation goes way beyond that in its commitment to the city of Sandwich and its citizens, businesses owners, organizations, etc.  I along with my board are here to assist our city leaders in anyway we can to make Sandwich the best it can be!!!
